Our Edible Garden

The ACS(P) Edible Garden, located within the premises of Anglo-Chinese School (Primary), is a thriving green space that serves as a living classroom for students to learn about sustainable practices, gardening, biodiversity, and the importance of locally sourced produce. This initiative aims to promote environmental sustainability and encourage healthy eating habits among students.
The garden is meticulously maintained by students, teachers, staff, and parent volunteers, collectively known as the ACS(P) Planting Pals, who work together to cultivate a variety of vegetables, fruits, and herbs. From greens to aromatic herbs like basil and rosemary, the garden boasts a diverse range of edible plants that are grown using organic and eco-friendly methods.
Students actively participate in every aspect of the gardening process, from germinating seeds, planting, and watering plants to harvesting ripe produce. Through hands-on experience, they learn valuable lessons about plant life cycles, soil health, and the impact of sustainable agriculture on the environment.
The ACS(P) Edible Garden not only provides fresh, nutritious produce but serves as a peaceful retreat where students can connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of the natural world. It stands as a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education and instilling in students a sense of responsibility towards the environment and their own well-being.
