Chinese New Year Fun at ACS (Primary) 🧧🎉
Posted on February 3, 2026
Recess turned into a mini Chinese New Year carnival as the boys enjoyed a range of fun, hands-on activities. Three craft stations were set up by our dedicated parent volunteers, and each brought on a ton of excitement.
The boys rolled oranges using netting, created colourful rattle drums, and practiced Chinese calligraphy by writing festive New Year greetings on bookmarks. They threw themselves into the activities with great enthusiasm, proudly showing off their creations while eagerly moving from station to station. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, chatter, and plenty of festive cheer. The orange-rolling activity proved to be the clear crowd favourite, with all of the oranges disappearing in no time!
The excitement carried on beyond the day itself. The following day, many boys came back asking if they could repeat the same activities- a true sign of how much they enjoyed the celebration. Through play, creativity, and shared joy, the boys gained a deeper appreciation of Chinese traditions while celebrating the spirit of the Lunar New Year together.
