P1 Picnic 2016

Posted on January 24, 2016

This year, the 3-day Orientation for P1 Parents culminated in a funfilled picnic of Parent and Child bonding on Wednesday, 6 January, in our School Auditorium. The event was hosted by the School and PSG.

Armed with yummy food in picnic baskets and colourful mats, families enjoyed a morning of getting to know their son’s classmates through family-focused activities and participating in the race that allowed them to discover the ‘Wonders of ACS’.

The morning started off with a warm welcome from our PSG Chairman, Keith Magnus. Then the families settled down with their son’s classes to a feast of delicious food that was shared around. As parents and classmates got acquainted, the importance of getting connected in a class chat was emphasized by us. Class Reps were selected at the end of the makan session.

Then a session by the Family Focus Sub-Com engaged our parents in a short talk and an ‘Angry Birds’ craft activity kept our little ones busy.

As new members of the ACS (Primary) community, everyone needed to get out and about to discover the beauty of our school. They were required to take ‘wefies’ with their teamates at all these locations.

Each class was divided into 3 teams and sent out to discover 8 locations in school. We realized how creative our parents and boys were by the interesting photos that developed.

Before the end of a wonderful morning, our Principal, Mr Arene Koh gave each class a gift as a token of appreciation for their participation and efforts. In true ACS (Primary) fashion, a very warm welcome to the new members to the ACS (Primary) family – The Best Is Yet To Be !
