ACtS of Love – A Community Event hosted by ACSP students

Posted on August 30, 2025

On 30 August 2025, our Primary 4 and 5 students and their families and our partners, MOCA (Moulmein-Cairnhill), and Chong Hua Tong came together for a meaningful time of service to the residents in our community.

The event carried a National Day theme, beginning with an energising Singapore Workout led by one of our parents. Residents and Chong Hua Tong members then enjoyed a series of nostalgic game stalls, where they pieced together jigsaw puzzles of old landmarks and local dishes—sparking memories of Singapore’s past.

Next came a collaborative art activity, with residents painting canvases inspired by national landmarks. It was heartwarming to see the boys partnering the residents with patience and encouragement, with many residents taking pride in their finished masterpieces.

The day concluded with a hearty lunch of local favourites, followed by a lively sing-along session, led by one of our boys, Edward in singing Home in Mandarin, a popular National Day song and the residents stepped up to sing their favourite tunes, together with our PSG Ex-Co members!

One of our boys, Ernest, reflected on the experience:

“Participating in Acts of Love made me realise how much the elderly value companionship. Simple activities bring them joy, help them feel less lonely, and strengthen our bond. I’ll make sure to spend more time with my grandparents and other elderly people, as it truly makes a difference in their lives.”

Indeed, it was a day of simple games and activities but overflowing with love and companionship, with cherished memories for both the residents and the students and their families. ❤️
