ACS 130th Founder’s Day Celebrations

Posted on June 25, 2016

ACS celebrated its 130th Founder’s day on March 1 2016. To commemorate this historic milestone, the ACS(P) PSG organised an inaugural Founder’s day activity during recess on Feb 29. To make the event more meaningful, parts of the school song were weaved into the activities, to get the boys into the spirit.

Our ever popular fishing game was called ‘Perseverance’, after one of the iHopeful values.

The snacks prepared were according to the countries the inaugural batch of ACS students came from 130 years ago.

There were quiz and word games for those who wanted to test their knowledge, or just wanted to know more about the school’s history.

The boys also got to show their creativity at the ‘Beacon of Truth and Light’ stand, where they got to design their own, one of a kind, Founders Day badge.

It was truly a day of fun and celebration. The boys not only enjoyed themselves, we parent volunteers also enjoyed organising and helping out in the celebration, learning lots about the school’s history along the way.
