ACS Primary P1 Picnic – 5 January 2015

Posted on January 22, 2015

Welcome!! The latest additions to the ACS Family, our Primary 1 boys, together with their parents, participated in The Picnic on Day 2 of the P1 orientation. The Picnic was organized by the PSG to create parent-child bonding time in school, and to create time for parents to get to know each other and the teachers. It was a great opportunity for parents to be involved in student-life with their sons as they embark on this new, significant phase of their lives.

The event kicked-off with a tree building contest. Students interacted and worked together as a team, to build the tallest and most creative tree with craft materials. Families then went on to create a framed family portrait, engaged in balloon sculpting and participated in more family-bonding games.

This event is one of many initiatives run by the PSG. The objective is to create a positive experience for families in school, and to create memories of school as being fun and enjoyable. Events such as this strive to inculcate positive attitudes toward schooling – this time in primary school being the foundation for all the learning years ahead – Primary 1 being stepping-stone Number 1!
