Mother’s Day Celebration – A Heartfelt Surprise!

On Thursday, 8 May, during recess, a crowd of curious boys gathered around tables filled with cards and photo frames, trying to figure out what the excitement was about. As they realised that Mother’s Day was just around the corner – on Sunday, 11 May – they eagerly stepped forward to create something special for their mums.
With heartfelt messages, the boys penned love notes and decorated photo frames with great care. The beautiful cards had been lovingly handmade by parent volunteers, using blue pea flowers pressed from the ACS(P) Edible Garden. The boys then selected embellishments for their frames: red saga seeds, dried flowers, stickers, hearts, cinnamon sticks, star anise, leaves, and plenty of glitter glue.
It was heartwarming to witness their joy and sincerity as they poured their heart and soul into these precious gifts. By their actions, the boys were living out the words of Proverbs 31:28: Her children arise and call her blessed. These gifts are a gentle reminder that even in our busy lives, we should take time to appreciate the beauty of motherhood and cherish the moments that connect us with our children.
