Education and Career Guidance (ECG)

Posted on June 23, 2025

As part of Education and Career Guidance (ECG) emphasis this year, various experiences were planned for the Primary 1 to 6 levels over 2 days.

On the 23rd of May 2025, the Upper Primary students engaged in career exploration through interactive booths staffed by industry professionals. They participated in hands-on activities, viewed career demonstrations, and engaged in meaningful discussions about various professions, with particular emphasis on unconventional career paths.

On the 26th of May 2025, our Lower Primary students experienced careers through engaging classroom sessions where our Parent Volunteers brought their professions to life through storytelling, demonstrations, and hands-on exploration.

Meanwhile on the same day, our Middle Primary students focused on practical skill development in healthcare and hospitality sectors. Through experiential learning stations, they gained hands-on experience with industry-specific skills while understanding core workplace competencies. Activities included customer service scenarios, basic medical aid practice, and hospitality skills training.

This ECG collaboration between our ACS(P) PSG and ECG team had successfully fostered self-awareness about personal interests and strengths, with an appreciation for lifelong learning and skill development and encouraged growth mindset through real-world professional exposure. The programme also successfully aligned with the school’s Desired Outcomes of developing Passionate Learners through career exploration, Active Contributors through understanding how different careers serve society, Creative Collaborators through interactive learning experiences and Servant Leaders through understanding service-oriented professions.
