Library Festival 2026: A Celebration of Curiosity, Creativity, and Community

Posted on March 12, 2026

The school library was transformed into a vibrant hub of activity as we celebrated Library Festival 2026. Over four days, students, teachers, and parent volunteers came together for a joyful celebration of discovery, logic, and hands-on creativity.

The success of this year’s festival was truly a community effort, with more than 20 Parent Volunteers generously contributing their time and energy. Their dedication began even before the event, as teams worked behind the scenes tracing intricate designs onto book bags and preparing over a hundred custom bookmarks.

During the festival itself, volunteers guided the enthusiastic boys through science activities and math puzzles, while also encouraging them to unleash their creativity through the book bag and bookmark craft stations.

Adding to the excitement was the introduction of Hootie, the PSG’s library owl mascot. Created during the festival period, Hootie quickly became a favourite among the boys and was featured on specially made badges and stickers. With his curious eyes and love for books, Hootie brings a playful spirit to the library and will no doubt be a familiar companion at many future PSG library activities.
