Sisters’ Island Exploration & Family Bonding

Posted on November 8, 2025

It was a bright and sunny morning on 8 November when 17 families – about 50 of us set off on a little adventure to Sisters’ Islands, Singapore’s very first marine park. Spirits were high as we boarded the boat, excited to explore this hidden gem just off the coast of Singapore.

Once we arrived, the island greeted us with clear blue skies and swaying trees. We began our eco-trail, making our way through four fun and educational stations. Along the way, we strolled across the floating boardwalk, checked out the solar panels powering the island, and climbed up to the hilltop deck for a stunning view of the sea and the surrounding islands. Our guide regaled us with a tale on the Sisters’ Island and how it came about. We then ended the trail with an exciting eco-quiz that got everyone – kids and parents alike – thinking and guessing together!

To top it all off, we headed to the lagoon protected by the sea wall for a refreshing swim. It was lovely watching the kids splash around while parents relaxed by the water and some joined in the kids in the waters. The best part? The island was almost empty, just for us!

It was a day full of sunshine, family bonding and connection – a reminder of how special it is to spend time together in nature.
